Callenberg Technology Group's Electrical Energy Management team in Denmark have completed extensive work on two new hybrid ferries, that will operate in the Rostock-Gedser route for the Danish ship-owner, Scandlines. The project was divided in more than 60 sub-projects and has involved all competences including: installation, testing, switchboards, engineering and documentation.

The first ferry, M/F Berlin was completed at FAYARD shipyard in April this year and the second ferry, M/F Copenhagen will be delivered to its owner in November.

Callenberg Technology Group has worked as a subcontractor for the shipyard since May 2015 when the first ferry arrived at the shipyard just outside Odense.

The new ferries can carry 450 cars and are equipped with the latest hybrid technology combining traditional diesel propulsion with modern battery technology.
